The US-ASEAN Business Council (USABC) successfully facilitated the 2026 Singaporean Business Mission, bringing together 21 US companies and the Singaporean government in an effort to expand technology partnerships. Held from May 5 to 7, this high-level trade talks coincided with the 60th anniversary of the US-Singapore bilateral relations.
Among the corporate giants taking part in the four-day mission were Oracle, BowerGroupAsia, IBM, Micron, Visa, Amazon, Bitdeer, Cisco Systems, Citi, FedEx, JPMorgan, Mastercard, Meta, Pfizer, Salesforce, Stripe, The Asia Group, Vantive, Vriens & Partners and Workday.
“For US companies, Singapore offers a platform to innovate and grow regionally. As Singapore prepares for the ASEAN Chairmanship in 2027, we see a clear opportunity to deepen and expand partnerships here,” remarked USABC’s President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Brian C. McFeeters.
USABC’s Singapore Committee Chair and Oracle representative Matis Perllerin affirmed the sentiment, noting that “Singapore is a global leader in digital transformation and the adoption of emerging technologies, particularly AI” and added that “Oracle is proud to partner with the Singapore government”.
What does this mean for businesses?
Singapore remains the region’s undisputed technology hub. Its advanced digital infrastructure, combined with a robust rule of law and a business-friendly regulatory environment, continues to draw foreign investors seeking a stable base for regional expansion.
It reflects the Singaporean government’s proactive approach to fostering international partnerships. Initiatives such as the Singapore Business Mission, organised by agencies including Enterprise Singapore and the Singapore Business Federation, are designed to cultivate cooperation and drive economic growth.
Singapore’s deepening ties with major US technology players signal that the country is cementing its role not just as a gateway to Southeast Asia, but as a co-creator of the region’s digital future. For domestic businesses, the mission presents an opening to plug into the supply chains and innovation ecosystems of some of the world’s most influential technology firms.
