The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), in partnership with Harley-Davidson Asia, organised the Amazing Thailand x Harley-Davidson Media Fam Trip from May 2 to 4 to promote southern Thailand as a unique destination for motorcycle touring. The programme highlighted a scenic riding route linking Hat Yai, Songkhla and Phatthalung, positioning motorcycle travel as a premium tourism segment under the campaign theme “Unforgettable Experiences: Healing is the New Luxury.”

The trip brought together a group of international media figures and influencers, including Malaysian actor and radio presenter Elizad Sharifuddin. They were joined by Singaporean creator Jester Rock, Thailand-based influencers Manitmonsur, Boromv, Annieprisana as well as representatives from Thailand Backpackers Community in the United Kingdom.

According to Nithee Seeprae, Deputy Governor for Marketing Communications at TAT, the collaboration aims to present southern Thailand as a destination where visitors can experience landscapes, culture and local lifestyles in a more immersive way. He noted that motorcycle touring provides travellers with freedom and flexibility while allowing them to connect more closely with the places they visit. The initiative also supports the Trusted Thailand directive, which seeks to strengthen the country’s reputation as a safe and high-quality destination focused on meaningful travel experiences.

The ride began on May 2 at Harley-Davidson Hat Yai, where participants set off on a journey featuring scenic routes, community stops, cultural landmarks, and regional cuisine across the three provinces. In Hat Yai, riders explored the city’s street art scene and visited Khao Kho Hong Viewpoint for panoramic views. The route continued to Songkhla Old Town and Hub Ho Hin Red Rice Mill, offering insights into the region’s heritage and community life. Participants also attended the Cars and Coffee on Vacation gathering at Songkhla Public Park, which attracted more than 700 vehicles from Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore.

The itinerary concluded in Phatthalung with visits to Tai Nod Market, Chaloem Phrakiat 80 Phansa Bridge and Manorah Road Viewpoint, before ending at the Central Mosque of Songkhla. Organisers estimate the campaign will generate over 20 million impressions, helping raise international awareness of southern Thailand as an appealing motorcycle touring destination.
