Thailand has announced the launch of the World Travel & Culture Expo (WTCE) 2026, an international exhibition aimed at expanding tourism, trade and investment while strengthening the country’s position as a regional hub for tourism and entertainment.
Jointly organised by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), the Tourism Council of Thailand (TCT) and Guangdong Grandeur International Exhibition Group, the event carries the theme “Smartly Link the World” and is scheduled to take place at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani from October 29 to 31 2026.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, Pasakorn Rangsiwatanasak, Secretary to the Minister of Tourism and Sports, said the expo reflects Thailand’s broader strategy of using tourism, culture, sport, entertainment and the creative economy to drive sustainable economic growth. He said the event would encourage foreign investment, deepen international partnerships and reinforce Thailand’s role as a bridge linking ASEAN with global markets.
The exhibition also underscores the growing cooperation between Thailand and China, following the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. Organisers noted that the event complements China’s policy encouraging businesses to expand overseas and pursue greater commercial collaboration across Thailand and Southeast Asia.
TAT Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool said WTCE 2026 aligns with the agency’s Value over Volume strategy, which focuses on attracting higher-quality tourism while promoting sustainability and meaningful travel experiences. She said the expo would provide Thai businesses with opportunities to engage investors, technology providers and creative-industry partners from around the world, while fostering knowledge exchange and commercial cooperation.
The event builds on the success of the 2025 edition, which attracted exhibitors from 23 countries and delegates representing 36 nations. This year’s programme will feature five specialised exhibitions covering amusement attractions, cue sports, entertainment technology, film production and intellectual property.
