Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto met Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin Palace in Moscow on 10 December. The two leaders discussed efforts to develop their bilateral ties, as the countries mark 75 years of cordial relations.
Putin highlighted and praised the work of the joint economic commission, which has increased trade by 17%. In addition, he also expressed Russia’s readiness to support Indonesia as it is currently preparing to optimise its nuclear energy capabilities. Both leaders also emphasised the plan to expand cooperation in the industrial and agricultural sectors.
Furthermore, President Subianto has extended an official invitation for President Putin to visit Jakarta, which he has responded positively, albeit with no details.
