On April 15, Pilgrims Fund Board of Malaysia (Tabung Haji) has assured Malaysian pilgrims that preparations for the 1447H/2026M Hajj remain firmly on schedule, while it continues to monitor developments to ensure a safe and well-organised pilgrimage season.
According to Mohd Norber Kassim, deputy director of domestic hajj 1447H/2026M, the board has already activated the necessary measures to maintain smooth operations. He noted that detailed standard operating procedures and contingency plans had been established in advance, enabling to respond effectively should any unexpected situation arise.
He added that Tabung Haji has also received confirmation from the Government of Saudi Arabia that the pilgrimage will proceed as scheduled this year. With that assurance, the board will continue implementing its arrangements for the upcoming season.
The first group of Malaysian pilgrims is expected to depart on April 18, while the final outbound flight is scheduled for May 20. The return phase will begin on June 4, with the last group anticipated to arrive home by June 30
Transport arrangements will involve around 100 chartered flights organised by Tabung Haji. Most services will be operated by AMAL by Malaysia Airlines, offering both block-seat charters and scheduled services. Additional capacity will be provided by Saudia Airlines to support the smooth movement of pilgrims throughout the pilgrimage period.
