Indonesia to distribute 720,000 tonnes of rice aid in 2026

Indonesia’s state-run logistics firm Bulog plans to distribute 720,000 tonnes of rice aid in 2026 to 18 million beneficiary households over a four-month period.

President Director of Bulog, Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani affirms on January 2 that the programme aims to safeguard food security and support vulnerable groups nationwide.

Aid distribution has begun as rice stocks have surpassed 3 million tonnes, with each beneficiary set to receive 10 kilogrammes of rice per month to help shield households from price volatility and economic pressures.
