Brunei’s Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism has launched a new Tourist Guide Manual aimed at improving safety standards and service quality across the tourism sector. Introduced during a career progression ceremony on February 1, the manual provides guidance for managing various tour settings, including heritage, nature, and river excursions.
The event also highlighted the Tourist Guide Career Progression Framework, introduced in 2024, which focuses on accreditation and skills development. Five guides were promoted to Senior Tourist Guide, while plans for specialised training courses were announced to further strengthen the industry.
