The Regional Polytechnic Institute Techo Sen Northeast (RPITSE), under the Cambodian Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, is offering 1,150 fully funded training places across 11 vocational fields. The programme also provides monthly financial support from the Royal Government for eligible students from disadvantaged families.
Training is available in a range of trades, including masonry, motorcycle maintenance, beauty services, electric welding, domestic air-conditioning repair, building electrical installation and automotive repair. Other options include men’s barbering, Khmer cuisine, banana cultivation and rubber tree harvesting.
Young Cambodians aged 15 and above can apply for the programme by presenting a Cambodian national identity card or birth certificate. Additional financial assistance will be provided throughout the training period to students holding Equity Cards at Level 1 or 2, as well as those with At-Risk Family ID Cards.
The latest intake forms part of Prime Minister Hun Manet’s nationwide initiative to equip 1.5 million young people from underprivileged backgrounds with technical and vocational skills.
Figures from RPITSE show that the institute has already trained 2,600 students through full scholarships between November 2023 and July 20, 2026. Of these, 1,806 came from households identified as low-income and eligible for targeted government assistance. The programme is intended to expand access to vocational education while improving employment prospects for young people facing economic hardship.
