The Ambassador of Vietnam to Brunei Darussalam, Tran Anh Vu, and the President of the Veteran Association of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (PERWIRA), Lt Col (Rtd) Ramli Abdul Hadis, have underscored the role of cultural diplomacy in strengthening bilateral ties. Speaking at the ‘Introducing the Art of Vietnamese Handicrafts’ workshop on March 4, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to expanding cooperation between veteran groups and businesses, including within the halal sector.
The workshop featured live craft demonstrations and the distribution of Banh Troi, a Vietnamese floating rice cake, for iftar. The initiative reflects growing cultural engagement between the two nations and aims to reinforce diplomatic ties through community-based exchanges.
