Philippines Denies Bondi Beach Shooting Connection Amid Ongoing Investigation

The Philippines has rejected the claim that the Bondi Beach shooting suspects received gunman training in Davao, southern Philippines.

The Philippine National Security Adviser, Eduardo Año, confirmed that the two perpetrators of the mass shooting during Hanukkah have visited Davao from 1 to 28 November.

Ano claimed that investigations are still ongoing and emphasised that the suspects were merely a visit, with no evidence of ‘any form of military training’.

In an interview with AFP, the nigh desk manager of GV Hotel, where both suspects stayed in Davao, stated that they stayed in their room, only leaving it an hour each day. The pair never discussed the purpose of their stay and would leave briefly in the morning, said the manager.
