Malaysia’s Foreign Ministry or commonly known as Wisma Putra is continuing to monitor the situation in Iran and the welfare of Malaysian citizens in Iran amid ongoing developments on the ground. The ministry said ensuring the safety of its nationals remains a priority, with consular services and assistance still available to those who have chosen to remain in the country.
Wisma Putra added that it is unable to disclose personal details or facilitate direct media contact, citing privacy and data protection principles. The ministry reaffirmed its earlier advisory issued on February 5, urging Malaysians to defer non-essential travel to Iran. Those currently in the country are advised to consider available commercial travel options and to remain vigilant, avoid large gatherings and comply with instructions from local authorities.
