Malaysia has launched IslamiCruise, Asia’s first luxury Umrah cruise in partnership with Saudi Arabia’s Aroya Cruises. This cruise offering a 15-day halal-certified voyage from Port Klang to Jeddah with regional stopovers.
The fully halal-certified cruise ship can accommodate more than 3,500 passengers, featuring leisure facilities such as swimming pools, water slides and miniature golf, alongside religious lectures by prominent preachers from Malaysia and Indonesia.
Officially recognised as a Visit Malaysia 2026 tourism product, the programme is expected to attract 6,000–8,000 visitors and strengthen Malaysia’s position in the global halal tourism market. A revised sailing date will be announced once a new agreement with Aroya Cruises is finalised.
