Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, Indonesia, operated by InJourney Airports, has been ranked 22nd among the world’s best airports in the 2026 Skytrax World Airport Awards. Announced at the awards ceremony in London on March 18, the airport secured a place in the World’s Top 100 Airports list, marking a continued rise in global standings.
The rankings are based on the World Airport Survey, which gathered feedback from passengers across more than 100 countries between August 2025 and February 2026. The survey evaluates a wide range of service aspects, including check-in, arrivals, transfers, retail areas, security and immigration, as well as departure procedures.
Efforts to transform the airport have focused on three key pillars: premises, process and people. These include upgrading infrastructure and facilities, strengthening coordination among stakeholders, and improving service delivery by airport personnel.Over the past three years, Soekarno-Hatta has shown consistent progress, climbing from 28th place in 2024 to 25th in 2025, and now reaching 22nd worldwide.
Recent improvements include enhancements to Terminal 3, the operation of the Hajj and Umrah Terminal 2F, and the revitalisation of Terminal 1C with a more modern design incorporating Indonesian cultural elements.
The airport also ranked eighth among Asia’s best airports and second globally in the category for airports handling 60 to 70 million passengers.
