Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) has implemented round-the-clock sanitation measures to prevent waste build-up during the Tết holiday on Lunar New Year, allowing garbage trucks to operate during peak hours. The plan overseen by the People’s Committee of HCMC and supported by the Department of Agriculture and Environment of HCMC, focuses on continuous street cleaning, waste transport and monitoring at major public celebration sites.
Businesses and residents are also supporting waste reduction efforts by strengthened waste sorting and recycling measures. Local communities have also pledged proper disposal practices to help maintain cleanliness throughout the festivities
